Rev. Sean Willman was installed as pastor of Good Shepherd on Sept. 13, 2015. Prior to accepting the call to Good Shepherd, he served as associate pastor of St. John’s Lutheran in Mayville, WI.
Pastor Willman was born February 1986 in Madison, IN. A few years later, his family moved to Marion, IN, where they still reside. His home congregation is St. James, in Marion. He graduated from Marion High School in 2004 and attended Concordia University Wisconsin. He graduated from CUW in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in pre-seminary studies and theological languages. Pastor Willman spent his college summers working as a counselor and then program director at Lake Luther Bible Camp in northern Indiana. It was at Lake Luther that he met Anna, a fellow staff member. Pastor and Anna were married on August 15, 2009. Pastor Willman then enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. While at the Seminary he did his field education at Clear Lake Lutheran, in Fremont, IN. During his third year, he was assigned a vicarage (a year-long internship) at Trinity Lutheran in Reese, MI.
Pastor Willman’s wife Anna was born September 1986 in Fort Wayne, IN. She graduated from Snider High School in 2005 and attended St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. Anna completed her bachelor’s degree in religious studies in 2009. In addition to her many years on camp staff, Anna has also been involved in outdoor education in many different capacities and looks forward to continuing that work. Though she played basketball on the collegiate level, her passion is volleyball. Anna has coached high school and club volleyball and played in numerous leagues. Her other hobbies include hiking, crafting, and camping.
Pastor and Anna are blessed with four beautiful children: Tula, Rudy, Maxine, and Laurel.
